Support OAD

At OAD, we strive always to provide the best possible client-centered representation. We are the last hope for obtaining justice for our clients in the courts, while providing the support they often need when they re-enter the community.

Although the Criminal Justice Coordinator of the City of New York funds OAD to handle appeals, it does not fund all of the additional services OAD offers which are so critical to our clients. Whether it is challenging a parole denial, assisting the client with prison or immigration issues, reinvestigating claims of wrongful conviction, or providing social work and re-entry services, OAD will always be there for our clients. But, we cannot do it without your help.

On behalf of our clients – individuals who are caught up in a dehumanizing criminal justice system, and who, no matter what they might have done, are capable of redemption and deserving of compassion – we urge you to support the work of OAD.

In addition, by supporting OAD’s training model – which, through our staff attorney positions, our NYU Criminal Appellate Defender Clinic, our VAD program, and our Social Work/Re-entry program, ensures that highly qualified and motivated lawyers and social workers will continue to play an important role in improving the quality of defense representation – you will help create a more level playing field and a fairer criminal justice system.

Your dollars will make a real difference in our clients’ lives, as well as in the lives of their families, friends, communities, and our City.

Thank you so much!
