OAD Welcomes
This fall, the Office of the Appellate Defender is welcoming three new staff attorneys.
Molly Booth | 2011 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School. Ms. Booth interned at the Federal Defender Program in Chicago and the Office of the Cook County (Illinois) Public Defender, and participated in a legal aid clinic focused on representing clients at sentencing in federal court.
Rahul Sharma | 2010 graduate of the New York University School of Law. Mr. Sharma has worked for the American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada, and interned at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, and The Bronx Defenders Civil Action Project. Mr. Sharma also participated in the NYU clinic at OAD.
Avi Springer | 2010 graduate of Yale Law School. Mr. Springer recently completed a clerkship with the Honorable William K. Sessions III of the United States District Court for the District of Vermont. Mr. Springer previously interned at the Federal Defenders of New York and OAD, and also represented federal prisoners as part of the Complex Federal Litigation Clinic at Yale. Prior to law school, Mr. Springer worked as an investigator in New York City for the Civilian Complaint Review Board.
